Thank goodness it’s Halloween so we have candy around the house: after some bribes, Charlotte was very cooperative about modeling for some samples. She is in her special PJs with the matching fuzzy slippers. But your children are welcome in their fancy Christmas or snuggly winter outfits as well. We’ll be adding to the set a bit but here is a taste of what we’ll be doing this year, as well as a sample of our 2007 card designs.

Night Before Christmas Samples
October 31, 2007Happy Halloween!
October 31, 2007Hope you’re all having a fun day! It feels more like Christmas than Halloween around here, because Abbey and I built the Christmas set yesterday. But in honor of today’s spookiness, here is my current favorite video. WARNING: I cannot get this song out of my head. It will haunt you for days.
Tis the season
October 22, 2007Have you been outside today? For those of you who are in the SA/Austin area, it is COLD. I sent Charlotte to school with a jacket because her uniform pants don’t fit (she wore knee socks today) but I didn’t send Mac with one. 1) Because he has trouble keeping up with his lunchbox, and I was afraid that we’d never see the jacket again and 2) because I figured it would warm up by noon. BOY was I wrong. It’s still about 58 degrees here and I LOVE IT.
Which brings me to my point. I know that it is tough to think about holiday portraits when it’s 95 degrees outside.
But today, while it’s nice and cold, have a cup of hot chocolate and put "Call and book our familiy portrait" on your to do list. We are not in the studio on Mondays, so if you call today you’ll just get voice mail. We are almost completely full for weekends up until our deadlines, but I do still have some weekday appointments. And, if you are a Little Blessings member, please call me now to get on the calendar. Once we are full, it is really tough to work little ones in and I don’t want anyone to miss a milestone because of the holiday season rush.
We had another email outage over the weekend, so if you have been trying to get in touch with me and haven’t gotten a response, please try again. We also have a shipment of coffee table books coming in this week and I know that a few of you have been waiting forever.
Go Spurs Go
October 22, 2007Pumpkin Patch!
October 19, 2007Ah, my favorite time of year. Those crispy orange and brown and yellow leaves. Those cool temperatures. Kids in their adorable costumes or fall outfits. Of course, since we are in south Texas, the only way I get to experience any of these things is in the studio when we have our Pumpkin Patch event.
This year we had a great bunch of kids. Fun and cute as pie. And we brought in bags and bags of food for the San Antonio Food Bank. Thanks to everyone who participated! The lab is processing all your orders and they should be here on Monday (although a few of you had add-ons and those will be here Wednesday).
Here are just a few that I had a chance to resize for the web… and of course, the last one is our setup model Charlotte.
I have more coming so if you don’t see your sweet baby on the blog, he or she will probably end up on the site. We are updating slowly — once again, we’ve had server issues — but check the site for new images within the next couple of weeks. And if you are still interested in participating in our "Night Before Christmas" event on November 2 and 3, we still have a few appointments left for Friday the 2nd. Give us a call asap to get on our calendar!
Also keep in mind that sessions are booking up quickly for the holidays. My weekends are booked into late November, and we are trying to work people in wherever we can but there are only so many places for wiggle room. We DO still have weekday appointments left, and remember that I always keep a couple of appointments open during the week for newborns and last minute maternity sessions.
Cutie Pie
October 10, 2007This is Matthew. He is one of our Little Blessings graduates — happy birthday a little late, sweet boy! By the time he got in for his last session, he was walking and exercising his new-found independence, as kids that age tend to do. But we got some really sweet images and he did a great job! His mom came in for maternity portraits back when we were in the old studio, and I have loved getting to know Matthew and his family over the past year. And have I mentioned lately how much I love kids in hats?
