Natalie and Zach

August 16, 2007

Mcstay1 I said a few posts ago that we’d had a lot of older kids in the studio this summer, and here are two new friends from Idaho.  They were in the Austin area visiting some friends for their summer vacation and stopped in for a session.  They were tons of fun — lots and lots of personality and came in ready to play.  They brought along two of their friends, who have been in the studio before, so we got some "best friend" portraits as well.  I hope y’all had fun at Sea World!  And good luck with the new puppies!

For all of you who have been calling and emailing — I have the dates down on the calendar for our annual Fall special sessions.

We’ll be playing in the studio pumpkin patch on October 12th and 13th.  That set changes a little bit every year, but not too much.  Costumes and fall clothes are always welcome (and easy, because we’ll be running the air conditioner).  :)   We will not have time for clothing changes this year but we will do on-site ordering again.  The session fee will once again be a canned food donation for the SA Food Bank.

This year our holiday event theme is "The Night Before Christmas".  This set will be pretty versatile — my original idea was to have the kids come in their pajamas, but I know that some of you will want to wear pretty holiday clothes so I am desigining with those needs in mind.  I have a special copy of the book to use with the set, and as it stands right now we’ll be using a fireplace as the main piece in our set for a homey look.  I’ll post images as soon as I have a chance to shoot samples.  The session fee will be a NEW unwrapped toy for the kids at the Medina Children’s Home.  Dates: Nov 2 and 3.

These sessions are VERY popular and fill up quickly, so call or email ASAP to get on the list.

The Angela

August 14, 2007

Some of you may have heard me talk about my Angelas.  They are all beautiful, all talented, and all photographers.  Ange in Selma, Angie in Minnesota, Angela in Louisiana.  But this is THE Angela.  She’s up in North Texas and somehow claimed the title as the ultimate Angie.  She and her family came down for a vacation this summer and we did a little session up at the studio.  They are one of the nicest families I’ve ever met.  And Ron: thanks for all the music suggestions.  I have met some of my favorite bands through you.  And Miss Ange, your MySpace tagline is so true.  "Nobody doesn’t like Angela."

Say hello to Madeline

August 14, 2007

Here is Madeline.  At her maternity session, Maddy’s mom said, "Wow, these Braxton Hicks contractions are driving me nuts."  Miss M was all over the place — you could see her moving.  And then two days later, I see hospital shots on her aunt’s MySpace page.  I always joke about moms being in labor at the studio, but in this case, I think Amanda might have been.  Anyway, a sweetie to share on this Tuesday afternoon.

We were busier this summer than we expected, and apparently so were you all!  We didn’t manage to schedule and photograph the senior models we wanted to see.  Now school is about to start, and we still need a few people for the new senior website.  Please contact me if you’re interested in being one of our models — we have some cool stuff planned for September for our studio reps.  Sean6

Meet Abbey

August 9, 2007

Abbey is a new Little Blessings Club member.  Isn’t she adorable?  She’s about three months old in these portraits and she was great at her session.
